Listen to Sample

The Mountain Folk Singers are an important part of the Folk and Pop music scene of the '90's.  Concurrent with the strong emergence of New Age and alternative spirituality comes a new style of music: "Alternative Visionary Folk Music" (Vision Folk), of which the Mountain Folk Singers are headline leaders.

The group's past three albums have contained original uplifting songs which inspire listeners to explore their own personal and spiritual growth.  Members, William Florian, Michele Hummel, Susan McGee, and Wayne D. Thompson will be guiding us into the New Millennium with the release of their fourth album, "The vision," on their independent "Spring Oaks" label.

The songs on this latest album empower people of all walks of life toward making positive and enriching choices in living as opposed to dwelling upon all that is negative, the focus currently so much a part of the entertainment scene.  It is well documented that the more that negative images are sent to us and our children through the media, the more negativity is demonstrated in our own daily lives, hence the desire of many persons to put positive influence through entertainment into their environments.

Vision Folk Music comes to us now through the music of the Mountain Folk Singers as a refreshing reminder of the highest good that we all can attain.

"The Vision" is radio-friendly in the modern adult contemporary format.
