The Mountain Folk Singers brought a style of music different from any of the other 250 concerts I've ever heard in the Bowl - And different and more vehement from folk singing programs presented on other nights such as the folksy simplicity of Sam Hinton, and the music education elements of Paul and Carla Roberts.

I wish to commend the Mountain Folk Singers for the two fine Workshops they conducted for the Redlands Bowl Summer Music Festival. The children were interested in the folk songs and instruments, and were eager to come to the evening performance.

Rarely do I sit in on other acts, let alone stay for the entire performance, but I so thoroughly enjoyed your presentation I almost forgot why I was there... The versatility you provided carried me through so many memories and I caught myself singing along on more than one occasion.

Thank you for coming "down the mountain" to the Redlands Bowl on Friday, August 1. It was evident from the enthusiastic audience response that your program was very well received.
